The new government is working really fast on the new metro system and on the public transportation system at the same time, as well. There's hope, I think! :) Of course, there is a lot more to do, but at least they' re beginning on doing something. As a panamanian leaving abroad (Brasilia) I have to read a lot from the local newspapers to keep updated with what Panama is doing to organize itself. Public Transportation within consists of only buses, with no clear routes or schedules. Driving is also very hectic!! Taxis are very inexpensive for getting around in the city, and would be my choice.
